2. Laws That Apply

  • the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018;
  • the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR);
  • where relevant, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) for individuals in the European Economic Area; and
  • applicable data protection and electronic transactions laws of Pakistan.

3. Personal Data We Collect

This is collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9).

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary with:

  • Service providers that help us operate, such as website hosting, email and communication tools, CRM, analytics, cloud infrastructure, payment processors and accounting software. These providers act on our instructions under written agreements.
  • Our group offices in the UK and Pakistan, for the purposes described above.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, auditors and insurers.
  • Authorities, courts or regulators where required by law or to protect our rights.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or restructured, subject to the same level of protection for your data.

6. International Transfers

Because we operate in both the UK and Pakistan, and use providers worldwide, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including Pakistan, which does not currently benefit from a UK or EU adequacy decision.

Where this happens, we protect your data with appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another mechanism permitted by law, together with technical and organisational security measures. You can contact us to request more information about these safeguards.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: generally up to 24 months from last contact.
  • Client and contract records: for the duration of the relationship and 6 years afterwards, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements and to deal with possible claims.
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, plus a minimal suppression record so we honour your opt-out.
  • Website analytics data: in line with the retention settings of the relevant tool, normally no longer than 26 months.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR (and EU GDPR where it applies) you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how we use your data;

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time; and
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (this will not affect earlier lawful processing).

To exercise any right, contact us at contact@dgtalsolutions.com. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within one month, which may be extended by up to two further months for complex requests. There is normally no fee.

Complaints. We would like the chance to resolve your concerns first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or to the data protection authority in your EU member state of residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

  • Strictly necessary cookies, which are needed for the Website to function and security. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics and performance cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the Website.
  • Marketing cookies (if used), which measure advertising effectiveness.

We only set non-essential cookies with your consent, which you can give, refuse or withdraw through our cookie banner or your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.

11. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, staff confidentiality obligations, secure hosting and regular reviews of our systems. No internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and inform you where required.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
